Headlights for our test rig, 3DServices fatboy finality trucks.

So, here is Perth Australia, it’s legal (ish) to ride PEV’s if they adhere to a number of rules, size weight, max speed etc. One of these rules is that they must be equipped with lights, so, as no mounted light solutions are currently available for 3DServices finality trucks, i decided to knock some up using my trusty 3dprinter.

These cheap LED lights from ebay should be fine and plenty bright.

Now, a quick session in fusion 360 and we knock out a model of a mount angled to 30degs, using the 20mmx20mm hanger profile of the finality trucks, Simple stuff

Spark up the direct drive 3D printer (good for TPU prints). Printing with settings 0.2 and 100% infill, it should be firm enough to take the force of a couple of bolts and grippy enough to hold the hanger nice and snug.

Ok, so hardware, the 20mm M4 bolt in the front will be used to connect the LED light and the two sections. An additional 15mm M4 bolt used with a nylon lock nut to clamp the sections firmly together.
